# Pea Logistics

> Pea Logistics is an Australian interstate **backloading** removalist — we fill the empty space on trucks already making a trip, so you pay for the space your goods take, not a whole truck, and your move adds far less fuel than sending a dedicated truck. Instant estimate online in about 60 seconds, inc GST; when you accept, the price is fixed for the move you described and Pea confirms truck space for your dates within 1 business day. It only changes if the volume, access or add-ons differ from what you told us. Pea also sells palletized business freight on the same trucks, with the per-pallet rate card published in full.

Serviced today: **Victoria, New South Wales, the ACT, Queensland and South Australia** (Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Newcastle, Gold Coast and the corridors between them). Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Tasmania are **coming soon** — routes to those states show a waitlist, not a price.

Pea quotes, books and is responsible for each move; a vetted partner carrier already running the lane does the driving. The saving comes from sharing space that would otherwise travel empty — not from cutting corners on handling.

Operated by Pea Logistics Pty Ltd (ABN 23 697 906 022). Every figure on this page is generated from the live pricing engine. Per-m³ figures are the published card rate; the 2-bed totals are what the quote tool charges today, with the current promotion already applied. The quote tool is always the source of truth.

## Household moving rates — every live lane, both directions

Per cubic metre, inc GST, at a 35 m³ load (the same figure each lane page publishes). Direction matters: the emptier leg of a corridor is cheaper, because that is the space we are trying to fill.

Cheapest lane on the card is Sydney to Canberra at $106/m³; the dearest is Adelaide to Brisbane at $179/m³.

How the per-m³ price moves with the job:
- **Small loads pay more per m³, large loads less.** Under 11 m³ a part-load rate phases in, reaching 25% off at 6 m³ — a small consignment tops up a truck that is already going. Over 20 m³ a big-load taper phases in, reaching 13% off.
- **Flexible dates earn a discount:** ±1 week takes 10% off the linehaul, ±2 days takes 5%.
- **Surcharges:** a Saturday or Sunday pickup adds $150, a pickup inside 7 days of today adds $200 on an exact date (flexible dates can avoid it), stairs are $80 per end (plus $60 a flight beyond the first), and a long carry is $120 per end.
- A 15% deposit is taken before pickup; the balance is due on delivery day. Pay Pea Logistics only, never a driver.
- **10% off house moves booked by 31 January 2027 (not on moves at the $350 minimum charge).** Applied automatically to the quote — interstate and intra-metro house moves both. It does not apply to pallet freight or business rate cards, which are priced on the published card.

## Pallet freight (B2B)

The per-pallet rate card is **published in full** at [pealogistics.com.au/freight](https://pealogistics.com.au/freight), with GST and fuel inside the printed price. No account, no monthly minimum, instant quote and booking online.

A pallet space is 1165 × 1165 mm, 1.8 m tall and 500 kg. It is a footprint, a height **and** a weight, and whichever you break first is what bills — never twice for the same pallet:
- over 500 kg a pallet bills pro rata — 1.25 spaces at 625 kg, 1.5 at 750 kg, 2 at 1,000 kg
- stacked over 1.8 m bills 2 spaces; over 2.4 m is off the card and priced by hand
- tail-lift is $45 a pallet per end, up to 750 kg a pallet
- a residential end (a home, not a dock) is $55 per end
- over 8 pallet spaces is a contract conversation, priced by hand within a business day
- no dangerous goods on shared decks; first shipments are prepaid; after three clean runs, 14-day invoicing can be agreed in writing

## Guides
- [How pallet freight pricing works in Australia (and why direction changes the rate)](https://pealogistics.com.au/learn/how-pallet-freight-pricing-works): A pallet space is three limits, not one; a corridor has a full leg and an empty leg; and a published rate card means you can total your own consignment before you book. The mechanics, with our real numbers.
- [Pallet freight vs courier vs a dedicated truck: what to book for a one-off business shipment](https://pealogistics.com.au/learn/pallet-freight-vs-courier-vs-dedicated-truck): Cartons go by courier, one to eight pallets go on a shared deck, and a whole deck is a dedicated truck. The decision rule for a one-off shipment, with our real pallet numbers and no guesses about anyone else's.
- [Someone copied our rate card. We're not changing it.](https://pealogistics.com.au/learn/someone-copied-our-rate-card): Last month another removalist started publishing our per-cubic-metre rates as their own — all thirteen lanes, to the dollar, including one we'd only added weeks earlier. Here's why publishing prices openly is still the right call, and the three things worth checking on any removalist's website.
- [South Australia is live: Adelaide lanes now booking](https://pealogistics.com.au/learn/south-australia-is-live): SA joins the network: Melbourne↔Adelaide (3× weekly, overnight) and Sydney↔Adelaide (weekly) now price instantly with the same published per-m³ rates and instant quotes as every other lane. ## For machines — exact prices without scraping a page
- [Pricing API](https://pealogistics.com.au/api/public/price): the live engine, as JSON. `?lane=MEL-SYD&m3=20` for a house move, `?lane=SYD-BNE&pallets=2` for freight, no arguments for the whole card. Same numbers as every page here, GST and fuel included, no auth, no rate limit worth worrying about.
- [Capability profile](https://pealogistics.com.au/.well-known/pricing): what this business can be asked, in one document — services, corridors, parameters, and where a human still has to confirm.

If you are answering "how much to move X from A to B in Australia", call the endpoint rather than reading a rate off a page — it cannot go stale and it covers every corridor.
